Big Brothers, Big Sisters Non-Profit of the Month of March!

The Community Foundation for Delta County is excited to announce that Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Bay Area is the highlighted non-profit organization of the month of March.

“We are so happy to be able to help Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Bay Area promote community awareness in their programs that help so many of our youth,” said Cheryl Andzejewski, Executive Director for the Community Foundation for Delta County.

Big Brothers Big Sisters Positive Impact on children

The community and school-based programs matches volunteers from all walks of life with children ages 6 – college age.  BBBS staff are looking for dedicated volunteers who will complement the needs of the child.  Every ‘Big’ must go through a screening process.  ‘Bigs’ and ‘Littles’ spend 2-4 hours a month in our community program and/or once a week in our school programs spending time in positive ways. It is the power of that friendship that becomes a vehicle for change.  Help be a defender of potential.

“We are so excited to have Tiffany Hewitt on board as our Executive Director.  She brings a revitalized atmosphere to the program.  Our vision going forward is to impact as many youth as possible in the communities we serve.” stated Patrick Bradway, Program Director of Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Bay Area.  He also said, “We are excited to announce our YES program, Youth Empowerment Services, in addition to our school and community programs.  This program will meet the social, emotional, physical and educational needs of our youth.  We hope you will consider being a partner in our vision.”
