Community Foundation for Delta County Board Members, Mr. Todd Maki and Mr. Will Carne, Sr, as well as, Board Chair, Mr. Bob Van Damme presents a check from the Community Foundation for Delta County April Grants round for $2,000.00 to the Escanaba Rotary Trust Fund for Children with Special Needs – Camp Harstad Counselors and Campers for their Summer Camp Program needs.

“The Camp Harstad Counselors commented, “We are so grateful to the Community Foundation for Delta County Grant Committee and Board for approving our grant request for our Camp Harstad Summer Camp Program.” They continued, “We are still feeling the effects of COVID-19 issues and this grant will truly make a difference in helping us meet our campers needs. The community foundation fits in perfectly with our Rotary motto, “service above self”.

Mr. Van Damme stated, “On behalf of myself and the other community foundation board members, we are happy to help such a great program that offers children with special needs and disabilities a learning and fun filled summer program.” He continued, “The Escanaba Rotary Trust Fund for Children with Special Needs Board oversees Camp Harstad and everyone involved does a fantastic job. We are proud of their work and success in helping children.”
